WinSetView and Windows 11 — What's Different?
Windows 11 made significant changes to File Explorer — a new tabbed interface, a redesigned command bar, and a simplified right-click context menu that hides many options behind a "Show more options" submenu. WinSetView not only sets folder views globally on Windows 11 but also includes specific options to restore the Windows 10 experience.
Setting Folder Views on Windows 11
The core WinSetView process on Windows 11 is identical to Windows 10. Run WinSetView.hta, choose your Global view, click Submit. All folder types will apply your chosen view immediately.
Restoring the Classic Right-Click Context Menu
This is one of the most popular WinSetView features for Windows 11 users. The new Windows 11 context menu shows only a few options by default — you have to click "Show more options" to see the full classic menu every time.
WinSetView fixes this permanently with one checkbox:
After clicking Submit and Explorer restarting, right-clicking any file or folder will immediately show the full classic Windows 10 context menu with all options visible.
Restoring the Windows 10 File Explorer on Windows 11
Windows 11 22H2 and later use a new File Explorer with tabs. If you prefer the Windows 10 style Explorer (which many users find faster and cleaner), WinSetView can restore it:

Some folder types in Windows 11 — particularly the Home section and Quick Access — behave differently than in Windows 10. If you notice certain folders not respecting your chosen view, set them individually in WinSetView by unchecking Inherit next to that folder type.
